Ammo for sale (7.62MM & 380 ACP [380 SPF])
I have for sale the following:
12 South African battlepacks of 7.62MM (308Win) ammo. Each BP is sealed, and contains 140 rounds (7x 20 round boxes). 147 grain FMJBT, brass/berdan/non corrosive. These are 85 FRNS per battlepack. SPF1 case (1000 rounds) of Blazer Brass 380 auto. 95 gr FMJ, brass/boxer/non corrosive. 600 500 FRNs for the case.SPF Prices are picked up in Alvin, Texas. I will ship at the buyers expense, but I'm 30+ minutes from the UPS hub and won't drive over there to ship 1 battlepack. I will split up the 380, but I'm not meeting 20 different people for a box each. A meetup at a Pasadena gunshow is possible. Terms are cash for FTF, or USPS MO for shipping, or trades. I NEED (lolz) high end glass (think Premier Reticles, IOR, NF, USO), but I'm also into anything 5.45 and anything M14. The worst I can do is say no thanks. Reach me via email: jflora96 AT gmail DOT com Thanks! |
Re: Ammo for sale (7.62MM & 380 ACP)
Good price for the SA .308! 60/100 FRN each.
Yesterday I saw 200 round Portuguese battle packs averaging out to $1 FRN per round, and people are buying. |

eat_beef,
Lookin' for my pic of Foghorn Leghorn... uhhhh....You bother me, son Now being that you are one knowledgeable guy about guns and ammo (and I'm sitting on some S.A. Ammo) why would you decide to sell your S.A. rather than some of your other milsurp ammo? I'm guessing that you've probably tried it all. Don't get me wrong, I'm just wondering (and needing a little education) if there is a reason to prefer some other milsurp. The S.A. is all I have right now. I've been considering this offer and, since you're not too far away, maybe shipping wouldn't cost that much... Anyway, since you've been so helpful on other threads, thought you might want to share your thinking on the various surplus ammo choices. Many Thanks |
Re: Ammo for sale (7.62MM & 380 ACP)
You think too much.
Plain and simple, I'm selling SA rather than other ammo because I have much more SA than other flavors. Bad points: SA is NOT the most accurate milsurp out there. It's plenty accurate (circa 2MOA) for man sized targets out to 400M, but others are better, of course some are worse. It's also berdan cased, which turns the reloaders off. Good points: It all goes bang, every time. It's accurate enough. It's cheaper and more readily available than most other milsurp at this time (this is, of course, relative). And my favorite point about SA, it's in VERY good battlepacks, making it good for long term storage. As far as I'm concerned, SA battlepacks are better long term packaging than anything else out there, including USGI ammo cans. Long story short, I'm wanting to buy a very expensive toy, and I can't justify laying down 2 grand for a scope. It's slightly more justifiable to do it if I sell off some other stuff, hence the 40% silver I have for sale, the 380 I've already sold, and the SA. If I had a massive stash of some other milsurp, it would be on the block. I hope that clears up my reasoning...if I have such a thing!:bear_tongue: |
Re: Ammo for sale (7.62MM & 380 ACP)
Rampon,
I have found that the best place to ask that sort of specific question would be the "Ammo Bunker" forum at m14tfl.com. I believe you have to signup to see anything, though. Somewhere on there, are lists of peoples' "favorite" surplus ammunition in descending order, as well. |

Thanks eat_beef,
Yeah, that splains a lot. Honest and straightforward. Let me do my bill-payin' and I'll get back to ya ASAP...if there's anything left. The reloading is not an issue with me. Like I said before, reloading to me just means stickin' in another magazine.Accuracy seems OK for my purposes, too. Thanks to you too, Caelicola. First I've heard of that site. Appreciate it muchly.! |
